In the first part of the book John Young recounts in detail his experiences, influences and the development of his career as an artist, this section being illustrated with many of his pencil sketches. The latter half is dedicated to colour plates of John’s paintings of which there are nearly 50. Overall the book is produced to a very high standard and is a fitting tribute to John Young’s aviation art.
