Postal Charges and Shipping Information

Important Notice About Our Summer Shut Down
Please note our web and shipping departments will be closed down from 19 to 29 August. You can still place online orders but they will not be processed until w/c 30 August. Our sales team are still available during this time on 0121 355 1333.

This shutdown affects Priority Orders as well but if you choose this option on checkout then your order will be processed first on 30 August and will ship First Class.

UK ORDERS
4.50 per order for our Standard Service.
5.50 per order for our Priority Service.

Standard Service
Under normal circumstances we aim to ship within 4 working days of receiving an order. In practice for most orders it is quicker than that, usually within 2 working days. At busy times though it is likely to be more like 3 to 4 working days. In most cases Royal Mail Second Class post is used which in our experience takes an additional 3 to 5 working days. For most of our customers this sort of timeframe is acceptable and it helps keep postage costs down as low as possible. If you are in a hurry though you may want to use our Priority Service.

Priority Service
First of all we move your order to the top of our queue and we then ship using Royal Mail First Class. In most cases shipments will be received within 3 workings days of placing your order online. This is not absolutely guaranteed though - if you need Guaranteed Special Delivery then please give us a call, this will cost extra.

Unexpected Delays
If for any reason there is a delay, for example if an item is out of stock, then we will let you know and give you the option to change or cancel your order.

Accepting Delivery of Parcels
Your delivery is insured. In some cases, usually depending on the value of the order, you may be asked to sign for the parcel upon delivery. In these cases, for the insurance to be valid, it is important that you examine the parcel carefully before signing for it. You do not have to unwrap it but if there are any external indications of damage such as holes, bending or signs of having been wet then make a note of this against your signature so it is put on record with the delivery company.

OVERSEAS ORDERS

Please call or drop us an e-mail. We will calculate the lowest possible shipping rates based on the size, weight, value and urgency of your order. You can still order online - we will add the agreed shipping amount to your order - some example charges are shown at the bottom of this page.

Valid Overseas Shipping Destinations

We are only able to ship to the following locations:
Europe, USA, Australia, New Zealand and Japan

Canada - we can only ship parcels up to 2kg, this is due to restrictions imposed by Canada’s processing facilities. Unfortunately the Robert Taylor large format Air Combat Paintings series come in at over 2kg so we are not able to ship to Canada.

Surface Mail
This is the cheapest option but also the slowest. Your package is insured and a signature will be required upon receipt. It is not tracked though so we will not be able to advise you of its status once it is in the system. The official delivery estimates are shown in the table below. In our experience the official estimates tend to be rather cautious, for example we have shipped many books to Australia and it rarely takes more than 6-8 weeks.  This is not a guaranteed service though and should only be used if delivery times are not an issue.

Standard Airmail
Much quicker but also more expensive. Your package is insured and a signature will be required upon receipt. It is not tracked though so we will not be able to advise you of its status once it is in the system. This is not a guaranteed service but in our experience is generally reliable.

Priority Air Mail
Your parcel will receive priority handling such as being included on the earliest flight available and is quicker than standard airmail by at least a day, often more. There is a degree of tracking and we get online confirmation when it is delivered. This also is not a guaranteed service but in our experience is quick and reliable. It is only available in Europe and the USA as these are the only destinations with the necessary postal infrastructure needed to support the tracking system.

Delivery Times for the Above Services
The delivery times given by our postal service are estimates only and not guaranteed. In our experience they are largely accurate but we have known delays caused, for example, by postal disputes or by parcels being held up in customs. In these cases there is nothing we can do about it and we only accept overseas orders on this understanding.

Accepting Delivery of Parcels

Guaranteed Delivery

It is a possible option though, so contact us for more information.
