Celebration of Flight is an extensive compilation of the aviation art work of this multi-skilled illustrator come artist who is perhaps best known for his many box top illustrations commissioned by Airfix. Arthur Ward, the book’s author, starts with a detailed background on the artist’s career, infuences and approach to his art work. This is followed by the gallery of images including cut-aways and side profiles, ordered chronologically to tell the story of flight and narrated throughout by the artist. Overall the quality of this large format volume is excellent.
