	It was during World War Two that the aircraft carrier established its central role in a Navy’s fleet and allowed nations to project their military power to all points of the globe. Paul Stillwell’s book, one of a number focused on different aspects of World War Two aviation, examines carrier aviation through the artwork of some of the leading aviation artists.


	A fifteen page introduction covers the design, development and operational deployment of carriers in the main naval fleets, up to and during the war. This is followed by a gallery of artwork, each with a page of supporting text and photographs. In total there are over 60 pieces of artwork from 24 artists. The book is professionally presented with a wide range of good quality images.
